Hello,
I am looking to upgrade my HDD to SSD drive and wanted to check with the community for any compatible devices.
I have found online the below ones that could be compatible.
SanDisk SSD SDSSDA-480G-G26
Crucial BX500 480 GB
Crucial MX500 500 GB
Do you think these options are fully compatible?
Regards

Hi:
In theory, they should all work, but at the SATA II (3.0 GB/S) transfer speed, not their max speed of 6.0 GB/S.
The Crucial MX drives are a bit faster than the BX models and the Sandisk SSD Ultra is a bit faster than the SSD plus and I do not believe that they cost much more.
The Sandisk SSD Ultra would provide the best performance of any of the 3 models you posted.
The WD Blue 500 GB would have the same specs as the Sandisk SSD Ultra but costs considerably less and they are both made by Western Digital and have the same warranty.

You're very welcome.
You bet it will!
I even have a SATA III SSD in my ancient HP nc6400 notebook with a SATA 1 (1.5 GB/S) controller, and it works much better than the mechanical hard drive did.
I have SSD's in 2 HP notebooks with SATA II controllers, as well as a couple of HP desktop PC's.
The drive performance is excellent.
