In my brand new laptop keyboad started act strange. Sometimes my R and X keys dont work. Nothing helps. Is it hardware problem or software?

Is my cough COVID or the flu? Gotta test. There is a keyboard test in UEFI preboot diagnostics. Tap esc as you power up then F2 and look for a keyboard test. This tests in a pure hardware environment. If it passes these tests then there is some kind of software issue going on. You can also go into device manager and uninstall the keyboard then reboot. Reloads the driver. Works occasionally.
