Hi
I'm wanting to upgrade the storage and possibly the memory in an HP OMEN 15-en (Ryzen 7 4800H, 16GB RAM, 512GB SSD). Before I open the machine or purchase components I'd like to know what the machine supports. I haven't been able to find this information in a specification or manual so far.
Is there capacity for a second drive? If so, is it another NVME SSD or a SATA drive (which presumably will still support SSDs)? What is the maximum size drive I can install? If I install a second drive will I void the warranty? If I decide to replace the 512GB NVME drive with a 1TB one, will I void the warranty?
What is the maximum memory capacity of the machine? Can I upgrade to 32GB, or is 16GB the maximum? If I do upgrade the RAM, will I void the warranty?
Thanks

Surely, you have so many questions... 😄
I'll try to answer the things that i know.... and leave the rest to the HP expert...
1. Here is your product manual: http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c06638088.pdf
2. Your product has 2 slots SSD M.2 PCIe NVME. I dont know about maximum size for each slots,,, but some said 2TB is still good to go... For myself, i already installed 1TB ADATA XPG SX8200 Pro for the second slot, and it works well...
3. RAM capacity is 32Gb based on HP specification...
About the warranty,, ask the HP customer service for details... but, if you just upgrading RAM and not breaking anything, i think it wont void your warranty...
