Hi everyone,
"Googled" but did not find any info about is it possible to upgrade RAM on HP OMEN 15-ce006ur with following specs:
Intel Core i5 7300HQ 2500MHz
8Gb RAM
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 2Gb
Hdd 1Tb
I want to upgrade up to 16Gb or 32Gb.
Does it have 1 slot ? or 2 slots for RAM ?
Because on HP site in manual it says for i5 8300H 2300MHz :
Support for 16384 MB of DDR4 2666 MHz system memory in the following configurations
- 16384 MB (8192 MB × 2)
- 12288 MB (8192 MB × 1 + 4096 MB × 1)
- 8192 MB (8192 MB × 1)
thanks in advance

Hi:
That is correct, but the memory is only going to run at 2400 MHz.

Hi:
Below is the link to the service manual for that model series.
There are two memory slots...see chapter 5 for the memory removal and replacement procedure.

Thanks for quick reply.
But you sent me the same link that I already had. It's about Intel Core i5-8300H processor (2.3 GHz, turbo up to 4.0 GHz, 2666 MHz, 8 MB L3 cache) and not about previous spec with Intel Core i5-7300HQ 2.5GHz...
That's why I'm little bit confused.

Anytime.
Glad to have been of assistance.
Please post back and let us know how the memory upgrade project went.
If you can get a memory module of the same spec as the one in there now, you can just buy another 8 GB chip.
Our forum is having issues or I would attach a free utility that will give you all the specs regarding the memory module in there now so you can pick one from any reputable manufacturer that meets the specs.
So here is the link. I download and use the portable version...
