Hello,

I own an HP Omen 16 laptop, and recently, I’ve noticed that the cursor starts moving automatically, even when I’m not touching the touchpad. I primarily use an external mouse and have hardly used the touchpad — in fact, it has gone almost 18 months without use.

When I visited the HP service center, I was informed that the touchpad needs to be replaced, but my 1-year warranty has just expired. The quoted repair cost is quite high, and it feels difficult to pay for replacing a part that I barely used.

I genuinely appreciate HP’s quality and service, which is why I’m reaching out to request if any goodwill support, partial coverage, or discounted repair can be considered in this case. This issue seems to be a hardware fault that developed despite minimal use, and I would be extremely grateful for your help or advice on how to proceed.

Thank you for your understanding and assistance.
