Hello,
I have an HP Omen 16 (c0013nv) . Unfortunately it has this ethernet door that it is retractable and it broke after I visited a technician for a completely different reason. I do not know how. I think this cover has some sort of a spring that is now missing that makes the door close/reset once someone removes the ethernet cable plus offers support to the cable to hold it in place when it is connected. I know that there are external usb-c ethernet port but I was wondering if there is a way to repair this by buying either a compatible spring (unlikely) or by buying that part specifically. Does anyone know what is the part number for this or any other way to repair it? The official hp part website does not list the replacement part. Also I can buy another port (for some other hp model) and get the springy thing out and place it on mine if you that would work....
Thank you!

All I can answer for you is that if your notebook has the RTX 3050 Ti GPU, the M75828-001 is the right part number and that chapter 5, page 52 of the service manual has the procedure to remove and replace the RJ-45 door.
Looking at the amount and scope of the steps required to replace the part, there is no way that I personally would do it.
Someone like me would break something for sure.

I looked at this video and it is obvious the ethernet port is not modular and cannot be easily replaced. Looking at the underside
It appears the latch is part of the case. You might be able to buy the case. this assumes the spring is part of the latch. Possibly the spring popped out and might be in the case.
You could try glueing two elastic strips each side of the "door" to keep the door closed with the ethernet cable.
I suspect the 5ghz wifi band is all you need and will be just as fast on the internet as hardwiring the ethernet. the advantage of having a hardwired ethernet port at 1gbit is when you have a local network including a NAS that runs at 1gbit. Otherwise there is no difference in internet speed. The transfer rate on a NAS with hard drives will not be 1gbit regardless.
Go here and enter your serial number and look for "plastics" or the case and examine the pictures to see what is being offered and if it has the latch mechanism.

Hi, @und3rd06012
Below is the link to the service manual for your notebook:
Chapter 3, page 17 has the part numbers for the RJ-45 ethernet door.
RJ-45 door
60 W models HP part # M57166-001
80 W models HP part # M75828-001
The wattage info is based on the graphics adapter your PC comes with.
RTX, RX = 80W GTX = 60W
Whether or not that door comes with the spring, that I would not know.
Hopefully, it does.

So my laptop is the omen 16.1 gaming c0013nv and it has AMD Ryzen 7 5800H with Radeon Graphics and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 Ti Laptop GPU. So I am guessing:
HP part # M75828-001 this is the right part.
So this part includes the spring/latch thing for the port, and the port itself and I have to desolder the old and solder the new?
Sorry for double checking with you. It is just I googled the part and the images shown are different to the ethernet port that my laptop has
