HP Omen 17 - w101 swollen battery / bloating ..
The past 6-9 months the area to the right of the tochpad started to get more and more derformed, and now in March i had to remove the battery due to the swelling /bloating because of the safety risk and that and the arrow keys and nymeric keypad keys were getting severely affected along with the laptop chassis as well.
This is supposed to be HP's high end gaming laptops, correct ?..... AND,, a quick search on the web revelas this is a problem many with the HP Omen 17's experience...
This is a battery model that is used in many of HP Omen models.....
A battery does not last forever, that is okay, but in a high end product like this is supposed to be, at least I would expect the battery to last longer than a year and a half before it started swelling seiously ...
A swollen and potentially flammable battery is a serious safety issue, and other HP batteries from the same period have been recalled because of this
Tried to find a replacement part ar HP but seems like it is not possibe to find new ones there.
So, will HP do anything with this issue soon ??
