I brought two 8GB sticks from Crucial who recommended this memory for this laptop.
My problem is the laptp is only detecting one stick (BANK BOTTOM1), again I'm on 8GB and it should be 16GB!
The memory I brought DDR4 - 2400 1.2V CL17 CT2K8G4SFS824A
I did some research on my CPU and it comes up saying it supports upto 32GB 2400 speed memory.
**** PLEASE CLOSE THIS POST ISSUE IS SOLVED, WAS NOT CONNECTED PROPPERLY TO THE PINS****

@Demannu Welcome to HP Community!
I understand that you are facing a memory issue.
I have checked the manual ( page number 1)
It will support 32GB memory.
Please let us know both memories have the same speed.
Have you tried to interchange the memories and checked? ( in slot 1 new memory and slot 2 old memory)
Please install the new memory and remove the old memory and check.
Please perform the memory test and check.
1) Shutdown the computer.
2) Turn the computer back on again and repeatedly tap on the ESC until a Startup menu appears.
3) Press F2 once.
4) Go to Component test.
5) From the list, run the Memory (extensive) test.
Please let us know the result.
