The 4 TB M.2 SSD will not be an issue. The M.2 slot is PCIe gen 4.0 so you can use the 990 Pro. The official specs do say the memory is maxxed at 32 gigs but you can check that from the command line as there may be a chance it would run 64 gigs.

To check your maximum memory on Windows 10 using the command line, open the command prompt and type "wmic memphysical get maxcapacity" and press enter; the result will be displayed in kilobytes, so you'll need to convert it to gigabytes by dividing by 1024 twice.

As far as the spped and latency of the memory, do not try to get gaming or performance memory. HP laptops, even gaming laptops use stock OEM memory at standard latencies. DDR5-4800 is what you need and you cannot make it go any faster with any other memory.

Thank you for the advice , i check it the command line and it says " MaxCapacity 67108864 " so now i know i can put 64 GB at 4800 Mhz DDR5 , and i will solve the problem , your advice i think it will be useful , but i will keep in touch here maybe after i buy them to tell how the laptop support , i read around here for some people when they put 64 it was ok in desktop but BiOS doesn't recognize them , anyway other says it can burn your components because of the diference , anyway , i will give the chance , i tried this with command line again like one month after i read other topic and same it says to me the command line  " MaxCapacity 67108864 " . Now the last question it will be and definetly it helped me a lot that i can put 4 TB , all my friends says is to much but i think is perfect because now i have only 500 GB stock and i have 2 partition , 1 for windows is like 200 and with all the updates is already full almost so thats why i want 4 TB , 3 for games 1 for Win10 . The question is , with heatsink or without , because i see on youtube and myself when i check it behind like a gold metal dust on the cover back of the laptop inside from the original heatsink , i guess it was from the heat ... with time , and i want the 990 PRO with heatsink .... i was think to buy Samsung because is the fastest for gaming and also the GPU is made by Samsung the RTX 3080 Ti 16 GB GDDR 6 ... so this is the question , with or without , i'm sorry for all the text and big text but i prefer to say all the details to understand better and sorry again for my bad english if i make a mistake , but i love HP from my point of view and i don't want to broke the expensive thing with my " stupids requests " .... :)) Thank you so much for helping if you answer and for the previous answer , it helps me a lot from someone that really know HP well and know about those things ... My regards .

The problem with the heatsink is fit. Try to install with heatsink and if you have to bend the SSD to screw it down or the back cover does not fit down tight over the heatsink, install without the heatsink and it will be fine. There should be enough airflow to keep it cool.
