"I was getting more than 1 hr backup"

I think you must realize that if you were only getting one hour, your battery was nearing its product end of life.

Replace the battery with a new one.

It was  not coincidental that it decided to stop working when you updated it to Windows 11 OS.

HP did not support your laptop for the upgrade to Windows 11. There are no chipset drivers at the HP support web document for your laptop

Even if you decide to roll the OS back to Windows 10 for everything to work as before,  you will still need to replace the battery with a new one.

Battery charging and management is at layer 7 (Physical) of the OSI model.

The Maintenance & Service guide for your laptop

http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c06219881.pdf

Battery description and HP part number ( dependent on which discrete graphic solution is installed)

4 cell 70 Whr 4.55 Ahr LI SR04070XL-PL  917724-855
3 cell 52 Whr 4.55 Ahr LI SR03052XL-PL L08855-855

Use the laptop serial number search at the HP PartSurfer to find out which particular battery your laptop needs or use the matrix I provided below.

GeForce GTX                            4-cell polymer battery - 70 Whr (4550 mAh)
1070 (N17EG2)
GeForce GTX                           4-cell polymer battery - 70 Whr (4550 mAh)
1060 (N17EG1)
GeForce GTX                        3-cell polymer battery - 52.5 Whr (4550 mAh)
1050 Ti
(N17P-G1)
GeForce GTX                           3-cell polymer battery - 52.5 Whr (4550 mAh)
1050 (N17PG0)

From what I have found online, your laptop has the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050, so the 3-cell polymer battery - 52.5 Whr (4550 mAh) with HP part number L08855-855 is what you need.

Kindly verify whether my research online was successful or not.

The installed processor appears to be the Intel Core i7-8750H. According to Microsoft, it is supported for Windows 11.

The trick will be finding Coffee Lake chipset drivers.

Try the Intel Chipset download utilty. It is at the link below this line.  Good luck!

https://downloadmirror.intel.com/831096/SetupChipset.exe

Let me know it you are successful.

If you are successful, the next step is  invoking the Device Manager to see what else is missing.
