Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello! I have a HP Omen 15-AX205LA which I need to change its 1 TB HDD 5400 rpm to a SSD.

I've been loking for the manual but I couln't find it.

I suppose it can support a M.2 SSD but my doubt it's a M.2 Sata or M.2 NVMe

Because maybe I can buy a NVMe to install OS there and leave the 1 TB HDD for storage without removing it from the inside.

Thanks in advance.

Hi:

Below is the link to the service manual for your notebook.

OMEN by HP Laptop PC Maintenance and Service GuideIMPORTANT! This document is intended for HP author...

Chapter 1 page 5 has the supported drive types.

Your notebook supports NVMe SSDs.

Unfortunately, the service manuals are all in English so when you look up the model series in Spanish, the service manuals don't appear.

Thanks a lot! I've found them.

Weird that 1 TB NVMe doesn't show up, I'm pretty sure that if it supports 512 GB NVMe, it also supports 1 TB.

Well, maybe just in case I'll buy a 512 GB NVMe to install OS and programs there and leave the 1 TB HDD for storage.

You're very welcome.

I agree with you that a 1 TB NVMe SSD should work fine.
