I recently purchased a new Omen 15 and certain keys are not registering. It always happens when I'm typing fast.
It is a consistent problem with the same few keys.
For example, if I try to type "motion" normally, I will only get "motio". If I type slowly, the "n" will appear, but if I type at a fast speed it will not register that key. So, I have to slow my typing speed when I type the combinatio of "o-n".
This happens with a few other keys as well, but I haven't identified all of the combinatios. (See? "Combinatios" - it is constant.)
As a professioal writer this is completely unacceptable and ruis (ok, it appears "i-n" is another example of a sequence which causes keypresses to not be registered) my ability to work. I will be returning this machine if I cannot get an answer.
Also, please rest assured that I have not changed my typing style. I am 100% confident that there is a key registration issue. I type for a living - it's not me.

Thank you for posting on HP Support Community.
Don't worry as I'll be glad to help, I have a few troubleshooting steps we could try to fix the issue:
-
In Windows, search for keyboard, and then open Ease of Access keyboard settings or Change how your keyboard works.
-
Make sure the Filter Keys option is disabled.
The keys should be more responsive.
Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.
