Hey ,this question has been asked once before ... and the guy got lucky with an ebay listing .
ive had this laptop 18 months . its been kept on my desk open all that time . i closed it for the first time on sunday to have a major spring clean of my desk , was the first time the laptop has been closed literally since i took it out of the box. . opened it up after c and boom ,cables damaged . so same question as the last guy ,,, is this now basically a very expensive peice of scrap plastic and parts ? why are there no spares available from hp ? not impressed one little bit ....
anyone know of a secret stash somewhere to save my machine ?
ive spent hours and hours searching online but to no avail ...... anyone ?

Hey , sorry , put it as the subject  title , my machine is a hp omen 17.3 cko501na.   The ribbon cable part no is M57112-001 

it has 4 x eDP lanes and 40 eDP 1.4 pins  so is i believe a 40 pin ribbon  interface . 
its for use with a QHD 165hz display panel
