Hey,
I am thinking about buy the HP Omen 17-db0176ng notebook. It has a RTX 4070 GPU with a AMD Ryzen 7 8645hs CPU, 32 GB of RAM DDR5 5600 MHz, 1 TB SSD and a 1080p 144hz screen.
It is nearly perfect but I need to know two things. First of all, does this device support USB Type C charging? I am traveling a lot and sometimes I just want to use the notebook in the train for watching youtube or something but I don't want to carry the power brick with me so would it charge with USB type C even when it's turned on?
My second question would be, I want to know if the device has a MUX switch / nvidia optimus to change the display output graphicscard from the internal iGPU to the dedicated GPU.
Thank you for your help.
Greetings
Jan

Its specs
https://www.hp.com/at-de/products/laptops/product-details/product-features/2102394880
which does NOT give any information about its PORTS. But from its manual
https://kaas.hpcloud.hp.com/pdf-public/pdf_10301542_en-US-1.pdf
It has USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C®, supports:
● power delivery
● data transfer
● HP Sleep & Charge
● DisplayPort™ 1.4a out up to 4K
● HDMI 2.1 out up to 4K @ 60 Hz with HDCP 2.3
That means you can charge your machine using USB-C port with a 230W USB-C or above charger. You can use lower wattage chargers but they may NOT charge your machine when in use OR may take ages to charge your machine.
For the second question: Manual does not say the option but I believe yes.
Regards.
