Hi there, my laptop omen HP 17t-an100 CTO, is running very slow, as whenever I use chrome browser it's lag, and stuck sometimes, and when I power on the laptop the screen pops up with a message, replace your battery, so the issue is due to battery?
Plus if I want to upgrade my laptop what should I need to do,
I currently have 8gb ram installed
(Upgrade it to 16gb)
I have 1TB HDD
(Replace it with 1TB SATA SSD)
I have a slot for M.2 SSD
( Or should I only update my M.2 SSD, 500gb or 1Tb)
Kindly suggest me

Hi:
I doubt the battery is causing the notebook to run slow.
See the link below for how to test and calibrate the battery.

If your notebook only has a 1 TB hard drive, I recommend that you install a M.2 NVMe SSD.
You can either remove the SATA drive or use it for storage only.
A M.2 NVMe SSD can be up to 5x faster than a SATA SSD.
I would also add a second 8 GB memory chip in the empty slot, so the memory runs in dual channel mode as well as doubling the memory to 16 GB.
Below is the link to the service manual:

Ok I purchased the battery and ram
Now, for M.2 nvme SSD, as I decided to use it for new laptop afterwards, if it fine to purchase
Samsung 990 pro 1TB
Plus can I purchase
Samsung 990 pro 1TB (heat sink) ? will it fit in my slot?

The Samsung drive will work fine but it will not run at its maximum advertised read/write speeds from your notebook's PCIe Gen 3.0 NVMe slot.
Sorry but I would have no idea if any NVMe drive with a heat sink would fit.
Personally, I doubt it.
You would have to check the clearances.
