Hello,

I wonder if anyone can identify the following 'PCI Device', which shows up with error 28 (drivers not installed) in Device Manager.

Device Instance Path:

Hardware IDs:

PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_1ADB&SUBSYS_8603103C&REV_A1

Many thanks in advance for your help!

Hi:

The driver for that ID can be found inside the graphics driver folder.

Specifically according to the driver file, it installs the NVIDIA USB Type-C Port Policy Controller.

I have removed the driver from the folder, zipped it up and attached it below.

You will have to manually install the driver as follows...

Download and unzip the file to its folder.

Do not do anything with the files in the folder.

Go to the device manager, click on the PCI Device needing the driver.

Click on the driver tab.  Click on Update driver.

Select the Browse my computer for driver software option, and browse to the unzipped driver folder.

Make sure the Include subfolders box is checked, and the driver should install.

Then restart the PC

Here is a partial copy and paste of the driver setup information file which shows driver support for the hardware ID you posted...

Hi Paul,

That is brilliant. Thank you so much! I've been trying to work out what device wasn't working and trying numerous drivers for days...  Thank you again.
