so iv tried typing the password for the bios admin and each time i only get ''system lock restart device''
im trying to get the code so i can figure out how to reset the password because i need to update the bios
yes iv tried to remove the cmos battery for more than a hour ive even left it out for a whole day no diffrence ..i need some help because i really need to update this bios

Hi:
Unfortunately, there is nothing we can do to help you, since HP will no longer supply the required SMC.bin file that is used to clear the BIOS password.
That was the only way it could be done.
Most HP business notebooks including the one you have, do not generate system disabled codes.
Also, removing the CMOS battery will not clear the P/W.
