PROBOOK 450G5
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi i need some advice related to upgrading my HP Probook 450 g5 ram. As the supported SODIMM is DDR4-2400MHZ minimum CL-17. All I find is ADATA DDR4-2666MHZ 16GB with CL-19. If I upgrade my Laptop with the ADATA Ram will it work? The second question is if it works; will I have some errors in day to day operations because the board capacity is to support only 2400MHZ ram. Also, I cannot see any overclocking or downclocking option in BIOS. RAM SPEC LINK

Hi:

I wouldn't be able to tell you if that exact memory chip will work or not, but as far as the 2666 MHz spec, that isn't a problem.

The memory will 'downclock' or 'bridge' to the fastest speed the processor can run the memory at.

Here is the link to the crucial memory report for your notebook.

Check the specs against the crucial 2666 memory with the AData memory specs, and if they are the same, you should be fine.
