When plugged in my laptop does not show a light at the side to where it is connected most of the time. Occasionally it lights for 1 or 2 seconds. To all appreances it appears dead. Ronnie

Hi Raj. Now here is a learning point. After all my searching and by the way thank you for your reply. As it happens I am from the UK but in france just now . A friend came over and pointed out that adaptors used to convert plugs from one country to another can be problematic. I was trying in various wall sockets. He changed it to a trailing lead on a bench and it worked perfect. The weight of the lead pulling down was enough to break the circuit. Regards Ronnie

@RonnieK

Welcome to HP Forums,

This is a great place to get support, find answers and tips to your technical queries.

To provide you with an accurate solution, I'll need a few more details:

Did you try with an alternate charger if not try connecting the different charger (if you got one)

Try connecting the charger directly to the wall outlet.

Eager to assist you!

Cheers:)
