Hi,
I am eyeing this laptop HP Pavilion 13 an0046tu for purchase. But it only comes with 8GB variant, and I'd like to know if I would be able to upgrade the RAM to 16GB/32GB in near future.
If yes, then please provide some relevant third party RAM links.
Also, anyone who has used this machine, could you please review its thermal cooling, and overall performance from a software development perspective ?
Thanks in advance 🙂

Hello @Vbv12,
Unfortunately, it looks like the maximum memory this laptop can take is 8GB and this is also on-board system memory meaning that upgrades are impossible.
Generally speaking, Pavilions are great budget laptops but for better quality builds, you may want to look at the ENVY series.
Hope that helps,
Eddy

Hi,
The RAM is onboard and not upgradable.
You can see on page 1 of the service manual:

Hope it helps,
David

Since there is only one slot available, I mean to ask if it's possible to swap the existing ram with new one. Eg. I need to have 16gb ram, then would I be able to take out the existing 8gb ram and put the 16gb ram into that slot.
