I have HP Pavilion 15 cc129tx!

And I want to know which version of PCIe M.2 slot I have in My laptop? (X2 or X3 or X4)

I want make a Upgrade in My laptop!

Greetings!

 

Your HP Pavilion 15 cc129tx laptop, as per http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c06525445.pdf, is fitted with a Gen3 x4 M.2 NVMe SSD slot.

 

Meaning, you could use Gen4 or even Gen5 M.2 NVMe SSDs (as shown here, for example: https://www.crucial.com/compatible-upgrade-for/hp---compaq/pavilion-15-cc129tx), but anything beyond 3rd gen M.2 drives will only run at Gen3 write/read speeds on your laptop.

 

In my experience, the best M.2 drive upgrade for laptops like yours would be to purchase a quality Gen3 M.2 drive, such as made by Samsung, Crucial, Western Digital, or Kingston -as your budget would allow.
