HP Pavilion 15-bc500nv upgrade questions

Hello,

I was thinking about upgrading my laptop's RAM and perhaps also the system SSD. My model came with a single stick of 8GB Samsung DDR4-2667MHz  and a Samsung M.2 2280 SATA SSD at 128GB.

My question is :

What kind of RAM is compatible with my computer (to either get an additional stick or a brand new kit of 16GB).

What kind of M.2 is compatible (since sometimes there are some physical limitations with double sided M.2 SSDs or different lengths not having the attachment needed).

Any documentation to also perform the M.2 upgrade, mostly regarding it's position since the actual upgrade is pretty standard, (ram should be simple enough) would be greatly appreciated!

     (a) 16GB: add same existing 8GB to slot 2 or use the following compatible RAM

128 GB M.2 SSD  (also SATA) 1 TB 5400 rpm SATA

   You can upgrade 128GB to larger (capacity) using M.2 SATA SSD (safer) or M.2 SATA NVMe SSD (faster). The slit on your machine is 80mm in length (or form factor 2280). You can go to 2TB single sided drive (some vendors have u to 4TB)

Hello @Banhien and thanks for the fast reply,

Just need a bit of clarification:

The same RAM that is in my computer (found exact models through RAMMON) isn't available to me.

Could I use the existing 8gb stick plus one CT8G4SFRA266 you sent for a total of two sticks at 16GB 2666 Dual Channel total, or would I have to replace the existing one and get two CT8G4SFRA266?

And regarding the M.2, does my motherboard/cpu support the NVMe protocol and does it have to be a single sided M.2, or should I get the single sided just to heir on the side of caution?

My previous reply: add same existing 8GB to slot 2 or use the following compatible RAM, that mean you only need 1 stick more. A tool called CPU-Z should tell you what the existing RAM is
