Ordered the genuine wifi card replacement from the spare parts list for this laptop. Once I installed it, it completely prevented my computer from operating. Power went on, fans started, but black screen and no keyboard lights worked. Tried safe starts from bios and nothing would fix this issue until I re-installed the old broken wifi card. So I have no wifi, and in another post I’m searching for the Ethernet port latch as that’s broken.
Anyone else have issues repairing the wifi card?

From your description, it sounds as if the card you ordered and installed was DOA.
Contact the vendor and ask for an RMA.
Where did your source the wifi card?
What HP part number did you order and receive?
"Anyone else have issues repairing the wifi card? "
Your description of the issue is about replacing the wifi module, not repairing it
"Tried safe starts from bios "
That is not a real thing. Making up your own phrases to describe something is not helpful.
HP Pavilion 15 Cc6xx is not an HP product name. Try again.
Did you mean to type 15-cc600?
If you did, which of these modules did you order?
These are form the Mintenence & Service guide for the 15-cc600 laptop model series
Intel Dual Band Wireless-AC 7265 802.11 AC 2×2 WiFi + Bluetooth 4.2 Combo Adapter (nonvPro)
901229-855
Intel Dual Band Wireless-AC 3168 802.11AC 1×1 WiFi + Bluetooth 4.2 Combo Adapter (nonvPro)
863934-855
Realtek RTL8723DE 802.11 bgn 1×1 WiFi + Bluetooth 4.2 Combo Adapter 927230-001
Which model was the original one that was installed. If you purchased one of the 802.11 AC 2×2 WiFi + Bluetooth 4.2 Combo Adaptera and the original module was the Realtek RTL8723DE 802.11 bgn 1×1 WiFi + Bluetooth 4.2 Combo Adapter 927230-001 module. That is likely to be why it did not work.
The modules have different antenna requirements. The 802.11 AC modules are unlikely to work with the antenna setup of the 802.11 bgn 1×1 WiFi + Bluetooth 4.2 Combo Adaptermodule.

Thank you for your response! So my HP laptop is the 15-cc6xx. I’ll include a picture for reference.
I used this link to find the model Wifi card compatible with the model I have.. https://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c06525445.pdf
I purchased this WiFi card from Amazon,
Hopefully this helps you understand my situation a little more.

Yes. That was helpful.
For future reference, your laptop is a HP Pavilion 15-cc665cl with HP product number 2GW63UA#ABA
Use the laptop's serial number in the HP product content browser to find parts that will work with it.

I would ask Amazon for an RMA for the WLAN module as DOA.
This time request the original module or simply another.
Which of the three WLAN modules below was the original module that was installed in the laptop?
(14) WLAN module:
Intel Dual Band Wireless-AC 7265 802.11 AC 2×2 WiFi + Bluetooth 4.2 Combo Adapter (nonvPro)
901229-855
Intel Dual Band Wireless-AC 3168 802.11AC 1×1 WiFi + Bluetooth 4.2 Combo Adapter (nonvPro)
863934-855
Realtek RTL8723DE 802.11 bgn 1×1 WiFi + Bluetooth 4.2 Combo Adapter 927230-001

Unfortunately, that does explain the issue you are having.
It is a good thing that vendors on Amazon value not being disciplined by Amazon.
Requesting an RMA with wrong item sent by vendor as the reason should be the cure.
