HP Pavilion 15-cs2xxx
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi everybody,

I currently own a HP Pavilion 15-cs2xxx with a 1 TB SSD, and 24Gb of Ram (1 8GBytes DDR4-2666@1333MHz  in the 1st Slot, & 1 16GBytes DDR4-2666@1333MHz in the 2nd Slot) It also has a UHD 620 Integrated Graphics Card and an 8th Gen Intel Core i7-8565U CPU 1.80GHz. The Motherboard's Model is 84c0  with a Coffee Lake Chipset and a Coffee Lake-U/Y PCH Southbridge. The Bios is "Insyde" version F.20.

My question is about a hardware upgrade, Firstly, I would like to know if my machine currently has a M.2 slot and if it doesn't, I would like to know if there is a way for me to purchase brackets to add an additional slot to my machine. If there are not brackets available to create an M.2 slot then is it possible to purchase and install brackets for a secondary SSD. If this is the case then I would be purchasing a M.2 SSD Conversion kit in order to use the M.2.

Other then trying to create more onboard memory without having to use external sources to get the most out of my machine, I am trying to switch my OS to an M.2 for better overall performance BUT if I can manage to add a secondary source of memory that would be my preferred route. If none of this is possible I will simply buy the Conversion kit and replace my existing SSD with an M.2, but as I mentioned above I would much rather add a secondary source for more onboard memory. I am attending school for Computer Programming and Game design So I need alot of power and onboard space for my hobbies.

If there are any other solutions to my question please inform me but within my research it appears the above is my best route.

Thank you for the timely response in advance, Best Wishes,

-Tony
