Microsoft Windows 11

I have an issue with my HP Pavilion Laptop 15-eg constantly overheating and shutting down.  I have cleaned out the vents multiple  times, put felt circles on the bottom corners to increase airflow, but still overheats constantly.  Just sitting with no applications running and no browsers open, the CPUs will overheat, and the computer will shutdown / crash.  It only has a single fan inside, but looks like there is room to add another fan. There are no thermal settings in the OS or HP manager. I use Speed Fan and another app to monitor the temperature. Would it be easily possible to add another fan or a stronger fan, or do something us with the CPUs to help with cooling.? When I go to use the computer I either have to restart or I have a blue screen of death.  I like to leave the computer on during the day, whether using it or not.  It might crash in 10 minutes or in 5 hours.   Any suggestions?

You should consider repasting the processor.

Doing that will lower the processor temperature to a considerably lower temperature than the threshold for a processor throttling and shutdown event to occur.

You can have it done at a laptop/PC repair shop or a big box store like BestBuy.

I  will look into getting the processor repasted.  The computer is only about 16 months old, so I am surprised that it would need that.  I have been having this issue for over a year.  I hope this will solve the overheating issue. thanks.
