I am unable to register the correct device on this forum. The device I'm commenting ion is an HP Pavilion 15-eh1507sa. I purchased my new laptop from Currys January this year. It is located on my desk and I've opened/closed the laptop screen a few dozen times. The screen is separating from the keyboard at the left hinge. It is also affecting the flimsy plastic trim and exposing a significant amount of the inside. This seems to be a common problem with HP laptops, not limited to my model, as there are numerous similar faults reported on the internet. I am adding to the record of HP laptop problems.

Hi Irwin6
Thanks for your private message which directed me to the standard HP Support pages. I have already gone back to Curry's, who sold me the laptop and they have sent my device away for repair, which could take 5 to 10 days. This fault is inconvenient and has already eroded my confidence in the product.
There are two reasons for my post to the community:
1) There are a worrying number of reports on the internet about HP laptop hinges failing and I wanted to add to that number. Hopefully, HP will pay attention.
2) I believe the organisation that sold me the device bears some responsibility for selling me an HP laptop when there are already many reports of the same fault on similar devices. I made a point of saying this to Gillian, the Curry's Assistant/Deputy Manager, on the day I took my laptop in.
Kind regards
Steve
