I need your help, to know Max RAM per slot I can put (16 Gb or 32 Gb), max frequency for it (2666 or 3200 Mhz), and can I put two RAM with different size( for example: slot1: 32Gb - slot2: 8Gb)?
Thanks.

There are many HP Pavilion 15-cs Series, each series has many different models/products. What is your machine ?
Please use the following way to find out the model/product of your machine
https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c00033108
For security reason, please do NOT post its Serial number (s/n) on Internet.
Regards.

Hi, @nicoin19
HP only has the service manual for the older model in the series on your notebook's support page.
HP Pavilion 15-cs3000 Laptop PC series Manuals | HP® Customer Support
Chapter 1 has the memory upgrade info.
So, from the manual we cannot determine if the max memory has changed from the older models or not.
The specs for your notebook indicate the memory is DDR4-2666 MHz, which means that is as fast as the notebook will run the memory at. You can install DDR4-3200 memory, but it will only run at 2666 MHz.
HP Pavilion - 15-cs3073cl Product Specifications | HP® Customer Support
The crucial memory report indicates that you can install as much as 2 x 32 GB of memory.

I suggest you do this to see how much memory your notebook's motherboard can support...
1. In the search box, search for cmd and click Run as administrator. This will open the command prompt.
2. Once command prompt is opened, type wmic memphysical get maxcapacity and hit enter. There, it will show the maximum RAM capacity your PC's motherboard can support.
The capacity is shown as Kilobytes, so you have to convert it to Gigabytes by dividing the number provided in the report by 1,048,576.

Hi @Paul_Tikkanen, thanks for your answer and advice. I don't find any official docs from HP for my notebook, specially about the ram max capacity and frequency.
I use Linux Mint, so I will try find information about maximun ram my motherboard support.
Thanks.

For update. I talked with Crucial support online, and they say me that series can support until 64 Gb RAM (2 x 32 Gb), however with linux commands: "inxi -mx" and "dmidecode --type memory", show max RAM supported for motherboard is 32 Gb. I will try get one 32 Gb RAM and test.
