Product: HP Pavilion - 15z-cw100 CTO
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 11

The fan noise on my HP Pavilion - 15z-cw100 laptop has always been a problem. It is the noisiest laptop I've ever owned. With barely anything running according to task manager, the fan has a high pitched whine almost all the time. I've tried fan control apps, but none work with this laptop. How can I minimize the noise from the fan? This is my first AMD Ryzen, so maybe that is part of the problem. Is it possible to switch to an Intel CPU?

HP Recommended

Update, I just ordered a replacement fan from Scamazon. It's supposed to be less noisy than the stock fan. We'll see!
