The pc is now with AMD A8-5550M)
Wish to upgrade the it.
The p85 of maintenance and service guide (c04069163) lists a number of options including several Intel processors.
Does this mean I can upgrade this any of these processors including Intels?
Thanks.

You have to replace the WHOLE system board, not simply a swap CPU. Intel CPU's and AMD CPU's use different motherboards, they simply won't fit physically. You can use options on page 73.
Regards.

Hi, @Dembaravi
You can only install one of the supported AMD processors in your notebook.
This would be the best processor you can upgrade to.
AMD A10-5750M 2.50 GHz processor (turbo up to 3.50 GHz; 1600 MHz FSB, 4.0 MB L2 cache, DDR3, quad core, 35 W).
The service manual for your notebook covers both the models that come with Intel processors, and those that come with AMD processors, and never the twain shall meet.
