Hello,

My HP Pavilion 17-g027ur (Product ID: N6C72EA#ACB, Serial: 5CD52916WY) shows a black screen when powered on. The Caps Lock blinks 2 long and 2 short times. I read that this means BIOS corruption.

There is no BIOS file available on the HP support page for this model. I tried the Win + B recovery with a USB flash drive, but I need a working BIOS file to proceed.

Can you please help me with a BIOS recovery file (.bin or .fd) for this model? Or tell me how to get it?

Thanks in advance.

Hi:

HP has retired support for the 17-g0xx model series since it is more than 10 years old which is why you can't find any drivers for it.

Below are the info and exe links to the latest BIOS update I could find for your notebook:  F.89

Info:

Exe:

https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp92001-92500/sp92397.exe

Watch these videos for how to create and use a BIOS recovery flash drive with the above exe file using another Windows PC:
