Yes. Right now your model has a single 8 gig module of DDR4-2400 SO-DIMM memory and it has an open slot. You could add another 8 gig module to have 16 gigs. 32 gigs (2 x 16 gig modules) is also possible. However, very few computer users need 16 gigs let alone 32 gigs. You might notice a speed improvement with 16 gigs since you would have 2 modules the same and that allows dual channel operation. Also it will speed the computer up quite a bit if you are doing intense production tasks like photo or video editing or opening lots of browser windows at the same time. The average user gets by fine on 8 gigs, however.
Right now you have a slow 5400 rpm mechanical drive and upgrading to a solid state drive is highly recommended. In fact, if you can only do one upgrade do the SSD.
How to instructions begin on page 37. When you get the back cover off you see this:
HDD = green, memory = red, SSD = purple
It uses DDR4-2400 SO-DIMM memory like this:
Crucial has it on sale right now:
It can use a SATA-3 type 2280 form factor M.2 disk. This is the new "gumstick" type disk and is about 5 times as fast as your current mechanical hard drive.
WD has their M.2 SATA SSD on sale right now at about the lowest price I have seen for a 500 gig module:
