Microsoft Windows 11
Hey Gang, This is a really weird bug that I'm wondering if anyone has found a fix to yet. My laptop's fingerprint reader is nonresponsive anytime after waking up the laptop from a deep sleep. If I previously completely shut down the laptop and then powered it back up, the fingerprint sensor works fine. However, when I just closed the lid and come back to the laptop several hours later or even the next day, I can't use the fingerprint sensor unless I restart the computer. I found in other forums that a fix is to go into Device Manager, get into the fingerprint sensor's properties, and uncheck the "Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power" option in the Power Management tab. I did that and it seemed to resolve the issue but lo and behold the system turned that option back on itself after a few days. I've deleted the device, reinstalled it, searched for updated drivers, etc. and nothing seems to fix this glitch. Has anyone else run into this issue and, if so, been able to figure out a permanent solution? It's not the end of the world to have to put in my pin but it's kind of annoying that the OS is automatically re-enabling something I explicitly told it not to. Thanks in advance for any help or suggestions.

Thanks for the quick reply. I checked the driver and it was actually on a more recent version (ended in 10034). I rolled back to 10032 so we'll see if that works.
