Hi,
Got a new HP Pavilion CC-134TX and came to know that this model has provisions to add additional M2 solid state drive, that is, in addition to the existing 2 TB hard drive. Have seen some discussions confirming same however, want to be sure before ordering M2 SSD.
Also, if the M2 SSD slot is available, what model SSD would work from below three options. I want to have 2 TB HDD plus 256 GB SSD?
1. Western Digital SSD WDS240G2G0B 240GB M.2 2280 SATA 6Gb s WD Green Retail https://www.amazon.in/dp/B078WYS5K6/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_JzYpBbFW5Y0SD
2. WD Green 120GB SATA III M.2 Internal SSD (WDS120G1G0B) https://www.amazon.in/dp/B01M2WYNP2/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_.HYpBb53AZGTS
3. Samsung 970 Evo Series - 250GB PCIE NVME - M.2 Internal SSD (MZ-V7E250BW) https://www.amazon.in/dp/B07BN5FJZQ/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_vIYpBb42N2PNZ

Your Service manual:
M.2 = red circle HDD = blue square
Yes an M.2 slot is available. See pages 37-44 of the Manual for access instructions and then the picture above. On your model, the M.2 slot can handle either a SATA based M.2 disk or a PCIe/NVME based disk so any of the three you listed will work and the performance of the Samsung 970 is going to be several times faster than either of the other two.
Post back with any more questions and please accept as solution if its the info you needed.

Appreciate your quick response. My another doubt is the manual says, dual storage options as below:
2 TB HDD + 128 GB SSD
Or
1 TB HDD + 256 or bigger SDD
I am a bit confused why it cannot have 2 TB HDD + 256 GB SSD

@Huffer wrote:You can. That is just the list of ways HP sells it. I had a similar model last year as my Expert Loaner and it came with a 2 TB HDD and a 128 gig SATA M.2 and I upgraded to a 512 NVME M.2.
Thank you for your prompt responses. Got Samsung 970 240 GB installed and it's working fine.
