Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello. 

I need to upgrade RAM for an HP Pavilion DV6.  I have two questions.  

1) How many RAM slots are available? 

2) What is the maximum RAM capacity?

 

I want to upgrade to 16GB.  Am I able to do this?

Hi:

 

It depends on what model series dv6 you have.

 

The ones (dv6-6xxx and dv6-7xxx) with the Intel 2nd gen and 3rd gen core processors support 2 x 8 GB of memory.

 

Older models support 2 x 4 GB of memory.

 

Can't really give you a good answer unless you provide the full model number of your dv6.
