HP Pavilion All-in-One - 27-d0230z
Microsoft Windows 11

I have read all the articles I can find on how to change the F keys functions.  Everyone says go into Bios - System Config and then toggle off the action keys.   I have no Action Key option anywhere in my Bios.    I have no F key lock on the keyboard to toggle, I have tried hitting the FN key twice to toggle.    I want my F keys to NOT use the windows commands by default.   I want to have to use the FN key + the Fkey I want to get those options.    Can anyone help me.    I have a Pavilion All-in-one 27.

Hi@Lorirw,

Welcome to the HP Support Community! I'd like to help!

I see you are looking to change the F keys functions on the HP Pavilion All-In-One PC.

I have a few recommendations

  • Turn on the computer and immediately press the f10 key repeatedly to open the BIOS Setup Utility. Press the right or left arrow key to select the System Configuration menu. Press the up or down arrow key to select Action Keys Mode. Press the enter key to display the Enabled / Disabled options.
  • Go to the Device Configuration menu and select it. By pressing the right or left arrow keys, you can enable or disable the Fn Key switch. The f10 key should be pressed to save the setting and restart the computer.

Hi@Lorirw,

Thank you for responding, I appreciate your time and effort.

It is not available on few models.

I have a few recommendations

  • Update your Notebook computer to latest BIOS from HP.COM.
  • Make sure the Windows and HP support assistant updates are up to date.

Please feel free to contact us here anytime you need any further assistance.

Have a great day!
