Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

so, 3 days ago, i decided to upgrade my laptop bios, and then what happening is, my laptop fans suddenly go to the highest rpm, i don't think thats okay, but i'm still using my laptop as usually.

then when i going playing games, after 20-30 minutes (maybe). The fans going crazy again and my laptop is suddenly forced to hibernate. then, i went to the Omen Command Center, the temperature still looks good and the color are still green. and i think thats because of the new bios update.

can you help me to fix this problem? or can you tell me how to rollback the bios update?

thanks.

@omangpageh Welcome to HP Community!

I understand that you would like to roll back the BIOS.

Please turn off the laptop and turn on perform the below steps.

Press the  Windows key and then followed by the key "B" this time and then the power button for around 3-4 seconds, then release the power button and continue to hold windows+B for 3-4 seconds more.

Try updating the computer, this will install the latest updates -

Step 1 Windows Updates -

1) In the search box, type, and open Windows Updates.

2) Check for updates.

3) If the updates are available, click on install and restart the computer.

Step 2 Install updates using HP Support Assistant

  1. In the search box, type, and open HP Support Assistant.
  2. Check for updates.
  3. If the updates are available, click on install and restart the computer.

Note: If you do not have HP Support Assistant installed, Click here to download the same.

Thank you for posting back.

I appreciate your efforts to try and resolve the issue. I would suggest performing system factory reset will put the computer back to the original factory settings in this way all corrupted and outdated software will be removed.

While doing the recovery there is an option to backup your personal files. If you have not previously done one now is a good time.

Restoring Files that were Backed Up Using HP Recovery Manager (Windows )You can also contact HP support for assistance. They can remotely access your system to help alleviate difficulties: www.hp.com/contacthp/

The HP Cloud Recovery Tool allows you to download recovery software to a USB drive. You can use the downloaded recovery image file in order to install the Windows operating system.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.

This sounds like BIOS needs to be flashed by the manufacturer. As we have limited support boundaries in the support community as of now. I would request you to reach out to our Support and our Support Engineers should be able to check the available service options in order to diagnose the computer physically. HP Support can be reached by clicking on the following link:  www.hp.com/contacthp/
