Is there another available slot on my laptop to add a 2.5 inch HDD/SSD some people said no some people said yes I'm so confused. My ssd is SK hynix BC511 HFM256GDJTNI-82A0A.

Hi:

The service manual on the support page is for the older 15-ec0000 models.

There should be a place to add a 2.5" drive, but the usual problem is the parts to add it are missing, and the parts are usually difficult if not impossible to find.

The parts you need can be found in chapter 3 on page 19.

2) Hard drive brackets not available as spare part
(3) Hard drive connector/cable  L72698-001

It would probably be a whole lot easier and cheaper to just replace the existing NVMe SSD with one having a larger storage capacity.

So, you will need to open up the notebook and see if HP included the parts you need to install a 2.5" drive.
