@parikkrobin, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding HP Pavilion Gaming Laptop - Fan is Noisy and Spins Constantly!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

When a computer fan spins loudly for a long period of time, it might be due to an issue with the fan or the computer overheating. Here are various solutions you can try to resolve this issue.

Using Task Manager to Identify Corrupt Processes and Reduce Heat

When multiple processes overburden the CPU, fans run continuously to expel excess heat. Use Windows Task Manager to identify and close these processes.

  1. Make sure your computer is connected to the internet.
  2. Press Ctrl + Alt + Delete, and then select Start Task Manager or Task Manager.
  3. Click More details, if necessary.
  4. Click the Processes tab, and then click the CPU column header to sort processes by CPU load.
  5. Use the internet to research suspicious processes and confirm the tasks that need to be ended.
  6. Select each suspicious process, and then click End task.

If no suspicious processes are found or the issue persists, proceed to the next steps.

Adjusting Computer Power Settings

Adjust power settings to reduce power consumption and help fans maintain optimal internal temperature.

For Windows 11:

  1. Turn on the computer.
  2. Click the battery icon on the right side of the taskbar, and then click the Settings icon.
  3. On the System screen, click Power & battery.
  4. Select Best power efficiency from the Power mode drop-down list.
