Evening,

I have been upgrading my HP Pavilion Laptop 14-ce0xxx.  I have upgraded from 8GB ram to 16GB and it's working great. I then proceeded to upgrade the storage, as currently it is running a 256GB m.2 ssd and I wanted to add a 2.5 inch 1TB Sata SSD in the spare slot but for the life of me I can not find the ribbon cable or brackets anywhere on line.

Any help would be great thanks.

You are not the first to ask and there is no explanation I am aware of. I believe if we had them right here the answer is they have no obligation to stock parts for modification or upgrade, just to repair the laptop as originally shipped.

These are very very hard to find. These are both USA sites and I struck out completely in UK. Post back with any other questions and please accept as solution if this is the info you needed.

Thanks for the reply. These are the same sources that I came across but I would like to know from HP why they do not stalk the required parts when this HP Pavilion Laptop 14-ce0xxx i7 8th gen is not even a year old.
