Hi,

Space is not enough in my laptop. Can you please advice whether my PC supports M.2 derives with Generation 4 speeds. Will I get the full advantage of the generation 4 speeds. I am planning to buy either one of the below for the upgrade. Please advice.

Hi:

Your notebook's M.2 slot is only PCIe Gen 3 x 4.

You can install a PCIe Gen 4.0 SSD but it will not run anywhere near its maximum advertised read/write speeds.

The best you can hope for would be around 3,500 MBPS.
