Hi there,
I want to upgrade the SSD and RAM of my laptop, but I cannot find which and up to what extent my laptop is compatible.
I want to know the compatibility of my laptop and which SSD and RAM are supported.
A quick response will be appreciated!

Hi:
Below is the link to the service manual for your notebook.
HP Pavilion Notebook (Intel)Star WarsTM Special Edition Notebook Maintenance and Service Guide
Chapter 1 has the memory and drive upgrade info.
Your notebook has two memory slots and can support up to 2 x 8 GB of DDR3L-1600 memory.
This would be a compatible 8 GB memory chip for your notebook:
Crucial 8GB DDR3L-1600 SODIMM | CT102464BF160B | Crucial.com
You can buy this memory in India too.
Crucial 8GB DDR3L-1600 SODIMM | CT102464BF160B | Crucial IN
Regarding upgrading to a SSD.
You can certainly replace the 2.5" mechanical hard drive with a 2.5" SATA SSD, but if you look at chapter 1 of the manual, there may also be a M.2 slot that supports SATA M.2 SSD's.
If there is, you can install a M.2 SATA SSD and use your existing hard drive for storage.
On the older model notebooks like yours, the M.2 slot may not be there unless the notebook came with a M.2 SSD from the factory.
So, before buying a M.2 SATA SSD, open up the notebook and confirm that there is a M.2 slot.
Chapter 6 of the manual has the removal and replacement procedures.
This should be a compatible M.2 SATA SSD if your notebook does have the M.2 slot.

You're very welcome.
I forgot to mention that if you want to upgrade the 2.5" mechanical hard drive to a 2.5" SSD, I recommend one of the Crucial MX500 model SSD's that fit your storage needs and budget.
This is the 500 GB model for example:
This is the fastest one available, but it costs a bit more than the Crucial SSD.
