Hi everyone,
I have Hp Pavilion Power 15 cb007 (Product Number: 2GR76EA), I have 1 tb hdd and i wanna add SSD to my laptop (not replace ssd with my current 1tb hdd).
As i saw in Maintenance and Service Guide (http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c05493193) , PCIe NVMe TLC M.2 solid-state drive stated and TLC made me confused. Does it only supports TLC devices? SLC, MLC, 3D NAND, 2D NAND doesn't supported? Also TLC is mostly used in like sata ssd not NVMe
I wanna buy Samsung 500 GB 970 EVO PLUS NVME M.2 SSD, is that device compatible with my laptop or i should look for another device?

I got Samsung 970 Evo Plus Nvme 500 GB and it's working now.
After installation process it didn't show up in bios, check device manager and u will see it in there. Install nvme driver from samsung site. Go to disc manager and u will see ur ssd just 256gb, (if it's bigger than 256 gb turn it into GPT) download nvme ssd driver.
Voila your windows now recognised your new ssd!

3D Nand is Samsung's way of saying TLC.
Samsung 500 GB 970 EVO PLUS NVME M.2 SSD is compatible.
I do highly recommend opening the notebook to verify that there is an M.2 slot present before pulling the trigger on the SSD purchase. Sometimes HP surprises us by not puttting one in.

Samsung 500 GB 970 EVO PLUS NVME M.2 SSD doesn't use 3d Nand it uses V-NAND and its MLC.
Also in the picture where shown as m2 ssd is one of the ram slot
ssd slot is located between double fans and battery

Then don't use that one. There are certainly others that have the specs that you need.
Value SSD means NGFF (new generation form factor). It is an entry level type of SSD that is not as fast as the NVMe type.
V-Nand is a Samsung proprietary term that came into the marketing of SSD products when Samsung introduced the 850 Pro SSD. It means vertical Nand.
