Pavilion Power 15-cb0xx
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello everyone!

Does anybody knows when will be a BIOS release for Intel Optane support?

HP Pavilion Power 15-cb0xx have the HM175 Chipset which is compatible with Optane.

A welcome feature.

Thank You!

I do not think a BIOS update will help a CPU that does not support IOM.

And if there could be a BIOS update for that it would have to come from Intel.

The BIOS is just part of the prerequisite to install an Intel Optane SSD.

What CPU do you have installed???

My laptop has a Kaby Lake i7 7700HQ.

The Installation Guide for Optane v2 say that the technology is available for the Kaby Lake architecture with the HM175 Chipset and RST with version 15.5+.

So, the hardware is available, the software is too, but, according with some other users in this forum, is missing a BIOS update to support this. My computer has F.17 Rev.A BIOS.

Thank you!
