Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Does anybody ever try to run 2666Mhz RAM on Pavilion Power model 15-cb0xx with an i7 7700HQ processor?

By default, the max allowed RAM is 2400Mhz on both 7th gen i5 and i7 processors, but have seen some benchmarks running this model on full 2666/2667 Mhz.

CPU is only one side of a picture, it is a car and you need lane (bus) which supports that car. You can't drive your racing car at full speed on city roads/streets.

Hope this makes sense.

Regards.

Yes!

HWInfo shows "Maximum supported memory clock: 1300.0 MHz " for i7 7700HQ model.

HWInfo shows "Maximum supported memory clock: 1200.0 MHz " for i5 7300HQ model.

There are several i7 benchmarks running 2667 MHz

There are none i5 benchmarks running 2667 MHz, all 2400 MHz.

So, does anybody have 2667 MHz working?
