I have an HP notebook, still under warranty.
1. Cannot calibrate battery.
2. Some driver updates provided by HP, such as Mediatek, are for windows 10 when newer windows 11 drivers installed.
3. Some of the help provided by HP Support Assistance is for windows 10, for example providing windows 10 keyboard shortcuts, when windows 11 is installed.
4. Recently accessing anything on the laptop was impossible using touchpad or wireless mouse. The pointer would move but when clicking to select iteme nothing would open. I was able to use laptop keyboard, and wireless keyboard to access some systems applications. The only option I had was to reset windows 11 which seems to have solved that problem. Now I have to go through the tedious process to set up apps and settings again.
These issues are not something that is expected when paying for a new computer.

I was already using HP Support Assistant and had followed procedures in 'Notebook PCs - Testing and calibrating the battery (Windows)'.
However I did all this again,
Battery callibration is still required,
Now have two critical updates to install windows 10 drivers on the windows 11 laptoip, one for bluetooth and the other for wireless LAN.

Thanks for your response.
May I know what happens when you try to calibrate the battery?
Do you get any error messages?
Also, please use the link below to update the remaining two drivers: https://www.hp.com/ug-sw/drivers.html
Let me know how it goes.

The driver update link does not do anything. After entering product name/ number it returns a page : "Get to know windows 8" with the enter product name/number screen. After clicking on "Go" this page keeps returning without any new information,
The battery check : advised battery is functioning correctly but needs to be calibrated. Clicking the link to calibratte results in a link how to calibrate. Following these instructions changes nothing. HPA continues to show calibration is needed.
Another indication of problems is that HP Operating System Diagnocstics reports that Office 2016 is installed and activated. I don't have any version of office installed.
I find in astonishing the a fairly high priced laptop has such poorly designed software, and does not even properly recognise the Operating System. I will give HP one more go then it is back to the retailer for a refund.

Thanks for your response.
Let me know if you are able to access the link below to update the remaining drivers: https://support.hp.com/in-en/drivers/selfservice/hp-pavilion-laptop-pc-15-eg0000/35719379/model/2100...
The models I find in this series are all introduced in various months in 2020.
That said, and given that you are not having any actual problems, the battery may not be calibrated because it does not need to calibrate.
Well, you can remove the HPSA application from Settings > Apps > Apps and Features
Restart > Download and install a new copy of the HPSA
Also, could you login to your Microsoft and check under a subscription and let me know if you have any Microsoft office?
Hope this helps! Keep me posted.

I had already teinstalled HPA so it is obvious this software is not working properly. If HP softwared cannot even recognise the installed operating system, it is likely that other errors exist, they may or may not become critical.
The other issues such as battery calibration, installed software, and identifying incorrect drivers add to the likeyhood that ther may be underlying critical issues.
My expectation on purchase of the product was that the software provided would work properly.
However at the stage, even though the laptop is not at the standard I expected for the price, I will continue using the laptop.
These messages will at least support resolution if problems that arise in the future; under Australian Consumer Law.
