(68N59EA) What is the ram arrangement (like 4x2 or 8x1) of the hp pavilion laptop with model number? Will the warranty be voided if I open the back cover of the laptop?

Hi:

Below is the link to the product specs page for your notebook.

HP Pavilion Gaming Laptop 15-dk2084nt Product Specifications | HP® Customer Support

According to the specs the notebook comes configured with 8 GB of memory configured with 2 x 4 GB memory chips.

Below is the link to the user guides section.

HP Pavilion 15.6 inch Gaming Laptop PC 15-dk2000 Manuals | HP® Customer Support

Chapter 5 of the maintenance and service guide indicates that HP wants any work to be done by an authorized service center.

You can probably install the memory yourself without voiding the warranty unless you break something in the process.

Also, if the notebook ever needs warranty service, you must return it to its original factory configuration (remove the upgraded memory you installed and replace it with the original memory HP installed).

This is a peer-to-peer forum.  We do not work for or represent HP.

If you want confirmation regarding the warranty terms if you open up the notebook, please contact HP customer support at the link below.
