Screws fell out of my HP Pavilion 15-au123cl so I'm looking for the correct screw kit.  Am I correct that I need the 856382-001 screw set?

I saw in another post it mentioned that if screws have fallen out the corners by the screen hinges you cannot just replace them with new screws. One of missing screws is in that location.  How should I go about fixing it so the new one doesn't fall out?

Thank you for any help you can provide!

Hi,

Yes, that is the correct screw kit.

You could also buy the individual screws Philips 2x5 or try your local computer repair shop which most likely will have them lying around.

On page 29 of service manual you can see how to remove the bottom cover

Once you have removed the cover you can check and see why the screws have fallen out. If they are the hinge screws it might be that the plastic "nut" holders have broken off the top cover and it will take more to make a good fix. Anyway, take a look and let me know.
