Hi,
I've got an HP Pavilion 14-ce0505sa which I' trying to connect via the usb c port to an HP universal docking station. The docking station is on (the light comes on when connected), but the laptop doesn't seem to register that the docking station is there. I've installed and updated to the required drivers.
Any suggestions for what to try next? Do all usb c ports support laptop charging or is it just some versions of the standard?
Thanks in advance!

@SimpleSim I see that your product has only 1 USB 3.1 Type-C™ Gen 1 (that supports the following:
Data Transfer up to 5 Gb/s, Power Delivery, DisplayPort™ 1.2, HP Sleep and Charge,
The remaining 2 USB 3.1 Gen 1 only supports (1 HP Sleep and Charge.
That said, for details on what is and isn't supported by the ports: click here

Thanks @Riddle_Decipher, however I'm still a bit confused. Am I right in thinking that as it has a USB C port which should support everything needed, that the Universal Dock should work fine? I'm not yet sure whether it isn't working because is is not compatible (i.e. something that can't be fixed) or if it is a setting/driver/faulty component (which can be resolved).

@SimpleSim HP doesn't support connecting the device to a docking station, most docking stations are only supported by commercial products and we only support consumer, hence our knowledge with docking stations are limited, that said, as per my first post, the data transfer & power delivery is only supported by only 1 of the 3 ports you have and it does not specify whether or not it supports a docking station as we don't recommend using it.
I hope that helps clarify your doubt.
