Pavilion dv2615nr
Linux

Hello everyone,

I am hoping one of you gurus has some old documentation about this laptop and it's specs. I am mainly trying to figure out what my limits are when upgrading the ram on this device as well as where I might be able to find the latest BIOS for this device. I hope someone has an old PDF on the Laptop or something they can share.

Thanks,
Ollie

P.S.

The laptop came with Windows Vista 32 bit. It has since been swapped out for a  Linux distro.

Update: Looks like the maximum speed of memory supported is DDR2-667.

Now if I can could only find information on what are my total RAM amount limits. 4 GB? 8 GB?

Update 2: I found this...

https://www.crucial.com/compatible-upgrade-for/hp---compaq/pavilion-dv2615nr

But I can't tell if that's 4 GB max from the 2 slots or 4 GB module max per slot which would total to 8 GB.

Update 3: So I did some searching and I found an F.28 BIOS for this Device as it's final BIOS update.
Looks like the laptop I have is WAY behind. Lol. Now if I could only find solid info on the maximum limits of the total RAM capacity for this thing. I can't for the life of me find any HP documentation for this laptop.

Update 4:
4 GB is the maximum amount of memory this old laptop can have installed.

2x2GB for 4GB total. T_T
