Product: HP-Pavilion dv7-6154ea
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)
Hi, I'd like to upgare my laptop to 16GB of RAM memory. I know that recomened maximum is 8GB but where is the limitation. I read similar posts on this forum that this is down to CPU so my CPU is "Intel® Core™ i7-2630QM Processor"
According to Intel website http://ark.intel.com/products/52219/Intel-Core-i7-2630QM-Processor-6M-Cache-up-to-2_90-GHz this CPU may us up to 16GB of DDR3 1066/1333 Mhz. Also Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit can also utilise up to 16GB of the memory. Where is the bottle neck?
